This bag is extremely well made. I haven’t gone fishing with it yet, but I’ve used Canyon Bags and this bag seems much, much better! The only down side so far - the bag looked like it was either 1. Purchased and then returned (unused. OR 2. Handled roughly when packing/shipping.Lots of black shod marks like it had been stepped on. After some scrubbing the marks came out : but I would be hesitant to ship one of these bags as a gift if this is how they normally arrive.I gave it 5 stars because I didn’t buy it for show. However, if I plan on gifting one of these bags, I’ll have it sent to my home first so I can clean it up first (that is, unless this was just an unusual situation!Giving 5 stars with a caveat - The cooler bag was shipped folded double in a large cubic box - as a result, the insulation layers in the bottom have taken a tuck and there is a lump with a bit of a void in the narrow end of the bottom of the bag.Update - gave bottom of bag a good shaking while pulling the inner and outer fabric apart - set the bag out flat - checked next day and the insulation layers in the bottom panel are smooth and tight in the corners - no problem!Great cooler - thick insulation - great design - fits just right on my 14 foot kayak rear deck - five stars!Writing this from my wife's account....So I hadn't heard of this bag before, but I gave it a shot because it had some features that seemed better than the more commonly known kill bags.I went out on the ocean over the weekend and tried it out. Put 7lbs of ice in it and it was still there at the end of the day- would probably last another day or two if we had kept it in there. The zipper is much better quality than other bags I've used before (really strong and doesn't seem like it'll break), as are the straps. The straps seem like they are made out of seat belt material and are really durable. Another cool thing about this is that the bottom of the bag is flat, so when you hit a wave or are driving home, the bag doesn't tip over and make a big mess. Our boat is only big enough for this size, but I'll be recommending this brand to any of my buddies who need a new kill bag!Okay, this thing is amazing. It's GIANT. No way you could lift it full of fish, if you could ever fill it. Bought it to hunt albacore but looks like I'll be needing to find some BFT. Great quality as well and MUCH thicker insulation than other brands. Hands-down the best.Update 6/21: Just loaded my Fathom 7 with eight 50lb bluefin and 5 YT, 200lb ice (about 2/3 full). Drove from San Diego to above SF. 9-hour drive, 108 degrees for 8 hours, bag in an open trailer. Arrived home with ice-cold fish, 90% of the ice still solid.Have not put a fish in it yet. Northeast has been so windy, but I have carried ice in this bag and it's Yeti like. Keeps the ice cold all day out on the water. Very nice product. 5 stars!!!!!If you want to hike down a ravine with lunch and bring back a couple of steelhead or a salmon, you may have to clean it and save the carcass for the wildlife man to fit a big salmon..this is a good cooler. It lays flat, so should make a great kayak cooler. Your lunch can be kept in a separate pocket up on top. Lots of insulation, wash out with a hose when you are done.I absolutely love this bag... I’ve been able to keep the ice in the bag for up to 4 days. I use it for kayak fishing and it’s perfect. The only regret I have is not ordering a larger bag other than that I highly recommend it!Love this bag. The flat bottom sets perfect at the transom and a 20# bag of ice last two days in the Florida sun even after getting bait out of it most of the day. Great investment even thinking about the next size up.
