Even when completely filled these are easy to carry due to the handle. They are sturdy and we have had no problems with our canopy tent moving since we started using these bagsSo far so good! Maiden voyage was five solid days holding down our 12’x12’ canopy for our camp kitchen and dining. Solid enough that the kids had no issue hauling them around to fill. Velcro worked great to fix it to the poles. I think they’re going to last. Really appreciate being able to empty them for transport. I could see some applications where that could be more of a challenge such as in a large parking area, but for camping it is perfect. Plan ahead if you’re not going to be somewhere you can mess with the rocks/dirt at least temporarily. We are always at horse events, etc. These are awesome! They really help us keep the canopies under control and we can walk away with no issues and not have to worry about rushing back if the wind picks up. Since we live on the plains of CO, the wind picks up a LOT! They were easy to get loaded with sand, are easy to carry, and easy to attach to the tent. Overall I highly recommend these - especially for the price!Do the jobBecause I'm knew to awning weights I didn't realize these are open top bags with two sections. Once we figured out how we wanted to fill them, some with sand, and some with bricks after we ran out of the sand, they are worked great! I love how they wrap the leg providing more weight to the canopy.Sturdy to hold my toddler’s swing in place! Working exactly for what we needed.Great in all respects. When used sideways, like on the horizontal rail of a table, insert a plastic bag before filling with sand because the velcro closure might leak sand.Use only a few times but works as intended.Works great and heavy enough (filled with sand) to hold the canopy in place.Con: The velcro strap to attach to legs of canopy needs improvement. The straps can not wrap tightly around the legs and are loose since the fasteners are only found at the end of the straps. They should cover the whole length of the strap with fasteners (hook and loop of velcro) thus making it adjustable to the thickness of canopy legs and be able to tighten it properly. The Weight Bags are perfectly suited for the task I procured them for. Not only can they be used as tent or pop-up supports but for winter truck weight loading as well. 8 bags equates to approximately 250lbs which is perfect for a truck and keeps it steady during the winter rainy reason.I've used them for about 4 events this year. The first event one of the tabs ripped off that holds it to the canopy leg, the third event one of the bags completely split open and is unusable. These are a must for a pop up tent. They hold your tent down, even on windy days.We fill these with sand to hold down our canopy at vendor markets. They are perfect. Well made.
